History of the Philatelic Society of Lancaster County

MISSION
The Philatelic Society of Lancaster County (PSLC) is an award-winning, non-profit community organization dedicated to promoting stamp collecting as a hobby for education and fun.

ABOUT
The PSLC began as the Lancaster Stamp Club in March 1929 with fifteen charter members meeting in the Science Building at Franklin & Marshall College.

IMPRESSUM
A Stamp Collecting Club for the teenager to adult; from beginner to postal historian. Serving members from Lancaster, Lebanon, Reading, York, Harrisburg, Hershey and beyond.

    Nicholas G. Carter Volunteer Recognition Award
    This award is given to recognize the outstanding efforts of the APS volunteers at national and local levels; and to recognize our younger members whose outstanding leadership is crucial to our future. The awards have been named in memory of Nick Carter who helped to establish them. Nick felt it was important to recognize those unsung heroes who contribute their talents, time and energies to benefit stamp collecting and the Society.
